For individuals who have not been successful at utilizing traditional office-based behavioral health programs, Strategic Interventions provides a recovery focused service in the community.
We recognize that some feel office settings may increase stress for clients with complex behavioral health needs. Strategic Interventions, LLC offers a community-based services in an environment where the client feels most comfortable.
Our community-based services are provided by a multidisciplinary team, allowing the client to receive a variety of services from the same group of clinicians. By consolidating our service delivery, we are able to minimize the number of necessary appointments and help the client build trusting relationships with their chosen care team. Each of our teams bring a unique perspective to a client’s treatment and all of our providers are passionate about assisting our clients achieve their desired goals.
Mental health refers to both emotional and psychological well-being. Having strong mental health isn’t just the absence of a problem, it provides us the resilience and ability to cope in the face of stress and adversity. Our mental health can be affected by many factors including biological factors such as genetics as well as adverse life events such as romantic breakups, family disruption, interpersonal difficulties, personal stress, and trauma.
What is mental illness?
A mental illness is a condition that can affect an individual’s thinking, feeling, mood, and behavior. Terms you may be familiar with include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder. Some conditions may cause occasional or long-term impairment and may affect our ability to function in our daily routine.
Is mental health important?
Caring for our mental health is just as important as our physical health. Having an untreated mental illness can increase our risk for serious physical health problems such as heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes. Likewise, chronic physical conditions have a propensity to increase the risk for mental illness.
Is mental illness common?
Yes, mental illness is among the most common health conditions. Research states that approximately 50% of individuals within the United States will receive a diagnosis of mental illness at some point in their life. Additionally, 1 in 25 Americans live with a serious mental illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or major depression.
